Master Teacher, 7th degree black belt, Bruce H. Jones, MS, FLEOA, PPS; brings an extraordinary range and depth of experience to his martial arts instruction. This is a FLEOA recognized training site, and national award winning training center. Former federal special agent Jones spent his career successfully investigating and prosecuting organized crime cases and protecting witnesses. He has protected presidents of the USA, Pope John Paul II, royalty, and the president of the World Bank. His other professional qualifications include: a very successful career in city, county, state, and federal law enforcement, bomb squad and intelligence unit commander, criminal investigator, paratroop commando, police careers mentor and recruiter, tactical firearms instructor, non-lethal weapons expert, physical fitness instructor, court-appointed expert witness, crime prevention specialist, professor of criminal justice studies, and licensed professional bodyguard. Bruce successfully competed, organized, and led 4 official USA martial arts teams to world championships, as well as volunteering as a youth gang prevention counselor through police martial arts and AAU.

Note:  The website opening page dojo group photo (upper row rear, center left) was on the occasion of the presentation of Judy's AJA presidential awards for leadership, program development, mentoring of other dojo instructors, and initiative in refining the Reston, VA YMCA's women's self-defense program.  In the recent past she has also been recognized by the Potomac Valley AAU, Reston Association, and the YMCA for developing a youth judo program geared toward gang prevention through sports activities. Judy was also the co-founder of Professional Protection, Investigations, and Training, Inc.; after 40 years of precluding threats of retaliation from various highly effective police criminal investigations and undercover operations.  Additionally, Judy has instructed at the FBI Academy, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Catholic University, Brown's Chapel Dojo/AJA, American University, and a DC Federal Bldg. where sensei previously conducted a dojo in the fitness center.
